About the Artist

I was born and raised in a small Swabian town in Germany. I moved to the United States in the 1980's and have lived in both Florida and Georgia. When visiting in Europe, I always seek out doll museums, shows, and accessory manufacturers to find inspiration and purchase vintage fabrics and other materials of high quality. Due to travel restrictions over the past year I've expanded my search for doll materials to all over the world via the internet.
I started making modern reproduction dolls in the 1990's and acquired a great appreciation and love for antique dolls. I have received both Masters and Grandmasters certifications for antique reproduction dolls. Antique reproductions are one of my favorite companions for my one-of-a-kind original dolls.

I began sculpting original dolls in the late 1990's. I learned a variety of sculpting techniques taught by some of the industry masters. My sculpting style evolves with each new face I create and it is always exciting to bring a new dolly to life.

My original dolls debuted in 2001 and I received my first DOTY Industry Choice Award for my doll Erika. In the years that have followed, I have received the DOTY Industry Choice and People's Choice Awards and Awards of Excellence Winner and Nominee recognition. Receiving these awards has been a great honor for me.

In 2018, I have a new twenty piece ball-jointed doll - Moki. She is all porcelain and a Limited Edition of 6 - OOAK, which means each is dressed and accessorized differently. As always, all of my dollies are born in the U.S.A.
In 2019 I introduced my first resin BJD “Luna”. Luna is my own design of a 21 piece resin BJD, limited to only 50 dolls total worldwide. She is 9 ½ inches and comes in full sets including body blush. Luna is exclusively painted and costumed by me as an OOAK or a very small limited edition (never more than 5).
The whole creative experience has been wonderful, as well as the warm appreciation I've received from doll collectors and Fine Doll Shops across the United States.
